You can offer to pay them, but a lot of contractors I know are busy and wouldn't want to waste time looking and bidding on a project they will stand no chance of getting. There are books to help you "learn" how to estimate rehabs, but without experience it is just educated guessing. Reach out to some local contractors and see what they say.

Yeah, you really do just have to work at getting good at ballparking estimates on your own. This can take time to learn your area and your prices but it will make you a lot more credible if you are able to give your end buyer a solid idea of the work needed.
Thanks Wes. I know exact rehab costs aren't really necessary since I will be ultimately wholesaling the property, but I will eventually be looking to rehab properties on my own
