After being told of wholesale real estate, I started researching wholesales and had some general questions.

1) Do you need a Real Estate background to be successful? Would you recommend signing up for Real Estate classes before starting?

2) Do you need money upfront to hire closing companies/real estate agents/etc?

3) How can you find Real Estate meetings locally?

I was told this is something that anyone could get into, but it seems very involved and I'm just trying to get a general idea of all the steps required.

Justin, anything with a paycheck at the end of a road requires work so "pretty involved" is absolutely right. Do not listen to those that tell you this is easy and anyone with no credit and no money can easily make millions. It requires lots of hard work. However, that said, anyone can do it IF they put their mond to it and have the determination to follow through.

No license required.
You do not pay any upfront fees to ecrow, title, agents, etc.
To be a good wholesaler, you must first understand the ins and outs of the business and your local market. Then you must learn what buyers want and build a large buyers list. From there, you need to know how to find great deals that meet your buyer's criteria.
No rocket science, but involved.
