I was just curious which strategy is better for a newbie going through the wholesale process or buy and hold on your own ?

I have heard some people start wholesaling to get good at marketing, and once they are successful with getting leads, they start to pick out which ones they would like to keep for rentals or wholesale.  This could be a potential strategy you could use.
