Check with the probate office in the city or county of the deceased. Send letters as the mail will likely be picked up by the executor of the estate.

The controller of the decedent's estate is known as the Personal Representative. Whether they're named as executor (will) or administrator (no will) of the estate this is the individual who you will contact if they're interested in selling the property.

Do your best to find out what they're motivation is..
