charging zero assignment fee, and the percent of the profit on the backend

I definitely wouldn't do this with any old buyer who wasn't on my priority list, but I'm considering getting a deal to a rehab or for a cut of the back-end profit. it lowers his risk and increases mine, and on the other hand I may be able to justify a higher cut of the profits for doing this.

Has anyone worked out a similar deal? What percent did you charge your buyer? And did you do any kind of verification of his expenses to be sure the profit figure was honest?

You could get burned doing that. The person can run with the money and stiff you.

I would use an attorney for such an arrangement so that everyone can be held legally accountable.
