Canadians Wholesaling in the USA

Do any Canadians have experience wholesaling in the US? I am a bit confused about the taxes. I have heard that it does not make sense for Canadians to have an LLC. I am looking for information about the process in general as well as how to avoid getting double-taxed (Canada and US)
