Seller's roof damaged before closing

We are scheduled to close on house in less than 2 weeks. There was storm last night and the roof is leaking. Would filing a claim after we close be more advantageous than getting a discounted price?

You are not entitled to a claim, you didn't own it, and have it insured, when it was damaged.  Have the current owner file a claim, and have the proceeds assigned to you.  If the seller is not insured, get your discount.
