actual vs replacement costs
When we got our original policy for our rental policy the agent said it was the best "Cadillac" of policies. However it was for actual costs which means now that we have a large claim from a water pipe break we will have depreciation taken away from payment. The house was built in 1932 with plaster walls and ceilings. The kitchen cabinets looked like they were from the 90s. Are these depreciation numbers written in stone? The house was in excellent shape. Can I sue if the numbers I have to pay are too high?
