Insuring a Property Under an LLC

Nick Connors
Posted

Hi,

If I put the deed to my property under its own LLC, what's the best way to insure the property considering:

1.) I permanently live in the main dwelling.

2.) The property has a detached structure I would like to utilize as an Airbnb.

I have already confirmed that a “due on sale clause” will not come back to bite me.

I am interested in putting this property under its own LLC for asset isolation purposes, especially if I am going to generate short term rental income on the property.

However, I am having a difficult time understanding the best way to insure my property, given those facts.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Nick
