What types of insurance should investors make sure they have?

Posted

Hey Everyone,

I currently have two rental properties in AZ.  I have the properties covered by home owners insurance.  However, I am wondering if there are other types of insurance I need to get to cover myself and my partner against tenant claims of injury or sickness. ("I got sick in the home and it must be the air from the air ducts").  Should I have professional liability insurance for my overall business entity?  What types of insurance do most investors make sure that they have to protect themselves and their properties against lawsuits / claims from tenants?
