Our Book Recommendations from 2019

Our real estate investment business started as a Mom and Pop business, with lots of people helping us grow. Without our contractors who do the actual work on our properties, our photographer, videographer, and home stager who all make our finished homes shine, and our coaches who kept us moving forward, we have had so much support as our business grew to where it is today.

Lifetime Learning - Various Ways

One of our early commitments when we started this business was to lifetime continual learning. We had almost no real estate knowledge when we started this business, other than what we had learned over the years just from buying and selling our own homes. Two things anchored our commitment to continual learning; first, the business continually changed, so we needed to stay abreast of changes to stay competitive in this business, and second, there's always more tools to add to our toolkit to be better real estate investors.

We attend workshops, conferences, and boot camps, as these are all ways to learn in person, while mixing with other investors. The networking time is just as beneficial as the actual sessions, because learning what's working for another investor may be the next impetus to growth in our business.

As we commute, we listen to webinars, podcasts, and audible books, not only about real estate, but for our own personal growth and development. We also read actual books, but more often we're listing to those books. So, that said, here's the list of books that contributed to our growth and success in 2019.

Where Our Business is Today

Last year our son joined our business as the Project Manager, as well as assisting in Acquisitions. Additionally, we hired a Virtual Assistant, who works continually on lead generation. This year, our first hire of many will be an administrative assistant to handle all our routine daily work to free us to focus on the growth of our Best REI!
