If one is unsuccessful in selling Jet Fuel, does that mean that they have Crashed and Burned?

Ok, sorry couldn't resist the lame joke.

I would never consider changing my name. My name is my own personal BRAND. I have spent years crafting what it represents and stands for.

Wouldn't want to give all that up.

REIWalf,

Congrats on joing BP and also on making the choice to get off the "bench". It is more fun playing the game than sitting on the bench anyway.

I have several contacts up in Detroit that are snatching up all of these foreclosures, pre-foreclosures, etc. And are turning them into solid cashflowing rental properties.

I know a couple of great REI Clubs up there as well. I have even spoken at one of them and think it is a great one. Feel free to drop me a line and I can hook you up with some other Detroit area investors.

Good Luck to you!

John,

Well, it really stands for NOTHING. We talked about a few different ideas of names and several had the acronym of WCRT, so we threw out the names and just went with WCRT.

Probably not the answer you wanted, but that is just what it is. WCRT means WCRT. Nothing more. But hey thanks for asking.

Wow, I hope things get better. Family is always more important. The meeting was/is part of the WCRT. There is another meeting Thursday in Oak Brook.

But again focus on your family. I can see the phone anytime!

I do believe it is at 7pm at Flatlanders there on Half Day road and Milwaulkee avenue. It is a subgroup of the WCRT. I really would like to see the 755 in action as I have been toying with upgrading.

Hope to see you there soon.

Well, as we have all heard, when one door closes another opens. Your marriage has ended and it appears a new chance is starting, not only personally (Fiance) but in investing.

I can't speak intelligently about the Bay area market, but I can say that if you have kids and they are living with you, that should be your first priority. Family always reigns supreme.

However, once you have that, start with a solid foundation of education, not only in the types of investing, but also your local market so you know what will work there.

Welcome to the boards, and good luck as you move ahead!

Tony,

I was paralyzed for about 4 months having seizures and the like. I have battled back. Lots of long therapy sessions. I am still not quite back to what I was before, but you would never know.

I was more upset that no one from the organization (Cubs) or the player or his team (The cardinals Juan Encarnacion) bothered to even see how I was doing, apologize, etc.

So, in a weird twist of fate, and understand I would never wish this upon anyone, Juan Encarnacion was in the on Deck circle during a game this past September and he was struck in the eye with a line drive. His career is over and he may never regain vision in his eye to 100%.

So, I guess that shows, your actions define who you are. A lesson to be taught here, I guess.

Well considering my history with being a life long cub fan, then being paralyzed last year from being struck in the head by a line drive a Wrigley.. I think it best that I share with you some of the finer words by a great singer/songwriter that Luekemia took from us back in 1984 just days before the Cubs cliched the division, Steve Goodman.

Do they still sing the blues in Chicago
When baseball season rolls around?
When the snow melts away
Do the Cubbies still play
In their ivy-covered burial ground.

When I was a boy they were my pride and joy
But now they only bring fatigue
To the home of the brave
The land of the free
And the doormat of the national league
