I shot you a DM. Let’s jump on a zoom call this week and see how I can help you achieve your goals!

@Robin Jamison sounds like you are largely looking at lake lure? I may have an option for you

Hey Brian,

Here were the two responses:

1. "Moore Team Rentals. They are connected to KW."

2."I personally rented from Carolina Cottages for about a year and a half when I moved here from Asheville. I didn't have any problems with them and they were responsive when I needed something. I have heard of other people having a terrible time, however, they may have been bad renters. Paying rent on time and not being a pain in their butt is important to rental companies lol!"

Hey, I know you! let me ask my team and I will get back to you with some recommendations.

@Jason Merchey so, I feel that way about the town of Weaverville because it is so small and quaint, and I have to imagine that at some point the town council/board will put restrictions on them. I say that because that's what happened in Asheville, and then parts of woodfin and Weaverville is the next town north. For full transparency, I have ZERO knowledge that this is actually happening. I am saying as someone who lives in Weaverville and I would consider buying an STR here. Weaverville is quite large and the actually city limits are tiny.

@Steven Moore There are a lot of options in the Hot Springs/Marshall/Mars Hill area (north of asheville) as well as Waynesville/Maggie Valley area (west of asheville). Weaverville has some options but I would stay in the reems creek district and neighborhoods where they are unlikely to annex into the city, I think it is just a matter of time before they outlaw short term rentals here. Wolfe Laurel has lots of snow in the winter and great views, and lots of airbnbs there. You have options if you come to WNC!

Hey @Jon A., I am selling my LTR to a family member and after talking to my accountant, have decided not to 1031 but pay the taxes. That being said, we have equity that I want to re-deploy into more investments.

Hey @Jennifer Lombardo, I have been working with numerous lenders to find the right people to work with. I’m going to send you a DM to chat about it more

Hey Jake,

Thanks for commenting.

My goal is to be active, and ideally a partner would have some experience in purchasing rentals since all of my investing has been in homes that I lived in for a bit before moving on to other homes. I am open to small multi-family and SFH. Not looking to get into anything larger at the moment. I

Hey all you WNC investors out there,

I am selling an investment property in West Asheville April 1 and will be getting a decent windfall from the sale. I know that our local CREIANC is the place to go for investors, but having small children and a close family member who would be greatly affected by COVID, I haven't made it to a single meeting and, to be honest, won't anytime soon.

So, anybody have any local-ish projects they are working on that they are looking for a financial partner that is organized and has access to the MLS? I am a realtor so I don't need to be represented. Just putting out feelers to see what is going on in the area.
