Quote from @Lee Burns:
Congrats and great job! I started last year and just closed on my second multi, just 2 weeks ago. The BRRRR method is definitely NOT the most comfortable way to get started, but it's so worth it and you learn so much along the way.
Thank you Lee and congrats to you as well! I hear there's a lot of potential to make some great deals as a buyer/investor on homes in Chicago because of the significant net population loss over the last 2 years.

2 Years ago today, instead of renting a studio apartment, I bought this 3/2 single famliy house in Apopka, Florida, rented out the 3 rooms and converted the office into my bedroom. It was not comfortable in the LEAST but I was cash flowing and was essentially being paid to live in an appreciating asset. That made all the stress and anxiety worth it... the difficult tenants/roommates, constant noise, roommate drama, and lack of peace and privacy.
This approach reflects the balance between comfort and profitability that Craig Curelop discusses in his book, The House Hacking Strategy. We all fall somewhere on this spectrum. Now it's time to do it again!
If you're someone looking to do your first househack, I hope this inspires you to make it happen. If you're a veteran househacker or investor, I'd love any advice or guidance on how you think I should approach my next househack!

I've heard so many good things about the CFRI @Shawn McCormick and someone actually sent me a link the other day to the meeting on Wednesday so I think I might check it out, I appreciate the insight!

Hello people of Orlando! I just moved to Orlando to pursue a career in real estate, as an agent and an investor, so lately I've been networking like a madman to meet excellent people in the industry and fellow motivated investors to share knowledge and exchange ideas. Does anyone know of any great networking events in the area that are worthwhile and free? I love meeting with other investors to talk about future possibilities so if anyone is in the same boat and wants to stay connected, please let me know.
