Hello Allan

I have never bought and rented in Mobil Alabama, but those type of properties does exist in Birmingham Alabama. If you are willing to manage a rehab from out of state, then buying and rehabbing to rent can be very profitable. You will get mixed opinions about section 8 tenants no matter where you look. Section 8 have been good to me many times over and over. I find that if you screen them just like a regular tenant you will better results. I have a application fee that covers background checks, criminal, and credit checks. Not all section 8 tenants have horrible past. A good property management group will help you out a lot when it comes to finding good tenants and properly handling them. Have a good day

Hello Rand Linton. Hope Bigger Pockets is being as good to you that it has been to me. If You are looking to go the section 8 route i would recommend Centerpoint, Irondale, Midfield, fairfield and some of eastlake to name a few. I feel you need to develop your own opinion about section 8. Some people like it some people don't. I have rented to one section 8 tenant and had a good experience. I am looking to fill 2 of my current properties with section 8 tenants. FYI its not the tenant that makes the section 8 process some time, its the office that give them the voucher. Birmingham section 8 is the worst, Jefferson county section, and Fairfield are the best.
Marco Santarelli are looking to continue doing business in Birmingham. If so are you looking to buy or sale?

I Agree wit Jon Kennamer and Evan Crawford. Stay away from Ensley. I invest in different parts of Birmingham and I stay way from Ensley. I invest in some war Zone if the price is right, But i never look at Ensley. Are you still looking for a property? If so What type of property are you looking for?
