I'm very annoyed about this one. So if Nike has the phrase "Just Do It" trademarked and I casually mention in my marketing materials "if you want to go out and travel you should just do it" then i'm infringing on their copyright....gtfoh. So why don't i just start a company, trademark as many common phrases as I can and threaten to sue anyone who uses "my" phrases..

@Rodney Wiilliams I just signed the petition. It is ridiculous that such a common phrase can be trade marked.

@Michelle B. I have a friend who specializes in email verification so he can get pretty far with a limited amount of information like a name and address. I'll give it a shot and see how it works. Thanks for the info!

@Josh McKnight - Do you have more success with email vs snail mail in terms of lead response and conversion?

We are residential real estate investors looking to purchase single family residences and condos with at least 2+ bedrooms, 1+ bathrooms and a minimum of 800 square feet. Our objective is to rehabilitate the property in order to sell it at a higher price within 3-5 months of acquisition. The locations we work in are Middlesex County, Massachusetts and the following counties in North Carolina (Wake, Mecklenburg, and Durham).
To consider a property, our purchase price must be less than 70% of the After Repair Value (ARV) minus our investment costs. We determine the ARV based on our expected sale price minus the purchase price and our costs (transaction, financing and repair/rehab costs). For example, if the purchase price of the property is $50,000 and we determine we can sell it for $100,000 then it is an investment that meets our criteria (i.e. the purchase price at $50,000 is 50% of the ARV which is $100,000).
Our expected sale price is based on an analysis of the following factors: local vacancy rates, unemployment rates, job growth, population growth trends, economic diversity of area, neighborhood quality (e.g. schools, crime data, etc), current values and sale prices of comparable properties in the neighborhood. The offers price range between $50,000-250,000.
We are primarily looking for partners that will you be able to help us find deals that fit our investment criteria, analyze the local market dynamics, and provide insight into local markets.
Please contact me if you would like to discuss a possible partnership.
Thank you.
