Hey Hannah! My attorney isn't on Bigger Pockets, but his name is Ed Lee. He's represented us for years and has always done a stellar job. He wrote all our leases, management agreements, addendums for sales, etc. He's also drafted operation agreements, contractor agreements, etc. for me. Hope this helps! You're welcome to direct message me if you'd like his contact. I never remember what the forum rules are but I don't think I am allowed to share his contact info.

Post: Investing in rental properties in Oklahoma City, Dallas, or Waco?

Both markets have pros/cons. I'm obviously biased toward Oklahoma City since I live/work/sell/invest here. Have you looked into the bigger picture stuff (economy, population, etc.) for both? And/or started developing the team?

I always encourage investors to spend some time building their team before jumping in anywhere. The team you work with will make or break the deal. I'd narrow down to 1-2 teams who can help you buy/manage in each market, interview them, and then move forward with a market based on the team you feel most confident in and comfortable with.

Happy to answer any questions you have about Oklahoma City. I don't think I have any connections in Waco but I'll scroll through my phone contacts and tag them in here to chime in if I see anyone!

@jonathan

@Jonathan Stone yeah of course! This one was a commercial loan. If I remember correctly we bought three properties on the same day, so the lender was able to knock them all out at once. It was three separate loans but doing them at once saved him some processing time and fees I believe. I was also a really good friend with someone at the bank, so I imagine that helped!

@Azinga S Ming what markets are you looking in?

There are definitely people/teams who can help you. Realtors who work with investors without a system for finding/analyzing deals get burnt out really quickly.

@Ben Scott that's what I thought too lol. It'll end up being a good little property, just wish I would have done a couple things a little differently!
