Hi there! My names Amanda and I am just starting out in Real estate investing. My first investment is by using the house-hacking strategy on a multi-family unit.

As I start this journey I would love to also start networking as I slowly start to build my business. I haven’t found as many networking opportunities as I thought I would.

Hi there! I’m reaching out to people who have house hacked in Canada or who have rental properties.

When tenant screening, I’m curious to know what vehicles are being used. What are the equivalents to “www.cozy.com” or www.rent prep.com” etc, what systems can be used in Canada to set up rent collection, security deposit and other payments? As well as do a background and credit check?

Hey there! My names Amanda and I’m posting to gather some advice about house hacking, I’m a first time buyer and wanting to of course rent out my other units!

I have no experience in renting to tenants, I’m curious to hear any advice in regards to interviewing tenants?

What key factors do you look for when renting to tenants?

Do you always do background checks? And call previous landlords?

How do you feel renting to friends/family? What cautions should be considered here?

And any other advice/tips you maybe like to offer I’ll be more than great full to hear all.
