@Nathan Killebrew

My two favorite quotes are as follows:

“Champions are made when no one is looking”

-Coach Tim St. Lawrence

“If you're trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I've had them; everybody has had them. But obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.”

-Michael Jordan

@Danilo A.

Welcome to bigger pockets! I also live in Hoboken and currently audit private equity infrastructure and real estate funds in NYC. I was looking to start a bi-weekly meetup on Washington street. If you are interested let me know and we can set something up.

@Andrew Treschitta I am originally from Warwick NY and I have been looking around the area as well. I’ve been looking more in Sussex county due to lower taxes and closer to public transportation into NYC. Rents are a little lower ranging from $900-$1600 depending on the town. If you have any questions feel free to reach out.
Hello BP, I have been looking for a lawyer located in Northern New Jersey. I’m looking to set up an LLC so I can put properties under to protect myself. If anyone has segregation’s please let me know. Thank you, Andrew
Thank you for the response. Yes I was looking to make a legal entity for protection. Wasn’t sure exactly what structure would fit with this investment model. Maybe partnership with general and limited partners but I’ll have to talk to a lawyer about it. Doing an LLC would be less complicated, but it’s worth it to set up the correct structure at first because like you said it’s only time until someone is unhappy and the correct structure will protect me.
Thank you for the feedback. Im locates in New Jersey so I’ll have to look up the regulations here.
Hello BP, I have been thinking about financing some more deals and I have several friends willing to give me money to invest. I was interested if there any law that restrict the amount of money an individual can invest with you and if there is a limit on the number of investors you can bring on? I was thinking of doing a first round investment with 20 individuals contributing $20,000 to $30,000 each. I feel if you bring in to many investors you would have to register as a fund with the SEC, but they may have a threshold. If anyone can help out or provide any links that would be wonderful! Thanks Andrew
I know there is crowd funding but there are restrictions on how much you can contribute in a given year. Are there any other option out there for group private lending.

Hello BP, My name is Andrew and I am looking to start investing in real estate. I currently live in Northern New Jersey (Hoboken) and I’m looking in invest in a multi family home in the area. I know Hudson country is very expensive and I am willing to look further outside the surrounding Hoboken area to get a good deal. I have already spoken with a broker and I have been pre approved for a FHA loan up to $375,000. I am looking for a multi family home since I’ll be living in one of the units and renting out the rest. I currently work in NYC so the location need to be close to public transportation, since I work crazy hours. Look forward to speaking to you all. Andrew
