All, I am so so so appreciative of your comments and suggestions. I will take heed and call the inspector.

Anastasia, I sent you a private message. Please respond.

Hi All,

I am not sure how to deal with an issue. I recently purchased a two family in Irvington, NJ. I have a temporary C/O. We did a partial gut rehab and brought the living, dining and kitchen to the studs. I complied with what the temporary inspection wanted. I then arranged to have a full inspection done and I failed. The inspector listed things that were not originally on the temporary list He also asked that I paint a basement the is not occupied. The basement is dry. I don't know what to do. I am feeling that there maybe some "shaddy" stuff going on. THey asked me to paint a living room that is brand new and painted.

Can anyone advise on how to deal with this situation. I have never had to deal with Inspectors bullying me.

@Michael Ealy

Thank you for such an inspiring post. I want to purchase Multifamily properties. My area in the northeast is very expensive.

Would love to hear your thoughts on buying out of state.

Hi All,

Hoping you can shed some advice with NJ laws on returning a security deposit. I follow Grant Cardone and I rent where I want to live. Recently I moved out. I was on a month to month lease and gave my 30 day notice to my landlord. I moved out on August 5 and returned the keys on August 7. I had moved out on August 5 but took two additional days to clean the house. My landlord did not return my full deposit and took a 1/4 of my rent deposit for the additional two days.

Is this leagal?

Also he never provided me with a bank statement as to where the deposit was held and the interest rate is was receiving. I believe this is also illegal.

Lost as to whether I should go to small claims or not.

Those of you that are in my area. Please advise as to how I should handle this.

Thank you

Post: What is FHA Warrantable

Hi All, I was recently applying for a loan (Hard Money) and having difficulty getting financing on a condo that is FHA Warrantable.

What exactly does this mean? Why are lenders reluctant to finance a condo that is FHA Warrantable.

Thanks for the feedback.

So, I am in the process of purchasing two condo units in the same building. Is it customary for me to pay for 2 appraisals, 2 lender application fees and etc. The condos are being sold by the same owner.  Do lenders not allow for this to be sold as a package or something similar to a two family. Granted, I know they are on plot and lot.

Please shed some light on this.
