Hi everyone! good to see an active thread on Hampton Roads!! My husband and I are just getting started in RE. We have lived in Virginia Beach for about 2 years. The military bases here with the housing allowances keep the rents high here.

My husband and I are  getting started in real estate investing in Hampton Roads. We are going to start with wholesaling. Any advice would be much appreciated.

My Husband and I just completed the 3 day 2K training of the Flipping Formula. there was a lot of good general info given. We had no knowledge of real estate before attending the first 3 hour free event. It intrigued us enough to use the remaining balance on our CC to attend this class. We got a lot out of the event and really want to do this. We did not buy into the next level. Our finances prevented it. I was appreciative that there was no high pressure pitch- It may have been because my husband is a pastor. Everyone was very nice and helpful. They even had the whole group sing happy birthday to me on day 1 of the training (after my hubby told them it was my birthday) We were told to focus on wholesaling to pay down debt and improve our credit score and then come back. Glad I found this site that seems to be very helpful!

That all being said, can you point me to a comprehensive list of the first steps? We got a lot of info but not a step by step guide.
