I never think of Sears any more, we might have to check it out. The rental townhouse we are moving in to is not owned by us. Our rental properties are all in other states - right now I am very glad of that fact!

Hi all - our personal home got completely flooded in Hurricane Harvey. We are setting up for the next 6-12 months in a rental town home. We need a fridge. We don't want to spend too much, because we'll probably sell this refrigerator when we eventually get back into our house.
Can anyone recommend a scratch and dent seller?

Hi everyone -
Here in Houston we are reeling from Hurricane Harvey. My family safely evacuated, but our personal home still has 6-8 feet of water in it. Or we assume it does, because we can't get close to it. Fortunately our rentals are out of state.
If you want to read more, here are two articles I wrote about Harvey:

We ended up buying Speed Queen from a contractor store. We were really happy with it. We had it for about a week and then we got flooded out by Hurricane Harvey. We currently have 6-8 feet of water in our house - at least we think so since we can't get to it. But we do plan to buy Speed Queen again as the replacement.

Great story of working your way into financial freedom. 26 units in 3.5 years is a lot if you are not full time. We have done 7 units in 2 years, so we'll have to rush to catch up to you!

Hi @Cary Ogello - i agree that there can be a difference between management and leadership, and MBA programs usually delineate the differences. For the purposes here, it seemed more important to focus on the biggest 5 competencies for leaders regardless of which bucket they fall in. I suspect that many real estate investors think of themselves as deal makers or hustlers and not leaders. It could boost their business to add the leadership behaviors to their thinking. Just another tool for the toolkit!

I just listened to BP podcast #232 with Nathan Brooks. Their conversation touched on leadership and some delegation and accountability issues. Very aligned.
