Hi all, my husband and I are rookies with a goal of buying our first property by the end of this year. There is a vacant fourplex up the road from our house that we are interested in, however we can’t get ahold of the owner. We’ve gone online and found the person who’s name it is in, but one of the numbers associated with her is always busy, and the other one we’ve left two messages at (1 week apart) with no response. Our next plan is to write her a letter. I have two questions for y’all:

1. Is it too much to also write a letter on top of leaving voicemails? The person whose name this four plex is in is supposedly 81, according to the internet, and I don’t want to hassle her, but I also think this could be a win-win deal.

2. If you were to go ahead with the letter, any thoughts on content? My plan with the phone call was to just ask if she would ever be interested in selling, should I just do that in the letter too? Seems a bit impersonal.

Thanks for your thoughts!
