Post: Need help please (LOAD BEARING WALL)

Hi everyone my wife and I just bought our first home in South Philly. The home is 13’ wide and 36’ long. It’s very tiny. But in a great location. The house actually was added to in the back near the kitchen about 6’ a very long time ago. The joists run the width of the house and are all pocketed in to the party walls. There was a wall dividing the kitchen and living room it ran underneath and on top of a joist the width of the house with an opening to the kitchen. I took that down. I asked a lot of people if it was bearing and they all said they didn’t think so. Mind you the wall in question is about 2’ from the old back of the house. I can see that cut. Can anyone please verify if they know of this was a bearing wall or not?

The blue arrow is where the old back of the house was cut out and the red arrow is where the wall in question was.

Thank you for all your help.

Hi all. I just got to my property and noticed a truck parked on my property that's not familiar. Apparently it's the neighbors. Hope do I go about legally getting him off my property?

For all my SELF property management investors out there. What's the best way to get rent payments from tenants without having to physically do it and something secure and with a trail?

I have a potential property in the south philly that is a duplex with a commercial space but all three are being rented out as apartments. Mind you this will be my first investment property. Is it a real issue if it’s not considered a legal triplex? The potential rate on return is great with 2 of the units already rented out. Please give me your advice.

Hey fellas I’m a new investor from philly and I’m looking to get my feet wet and learn everything I can. This walk through would be so helpful to me. I haven’t bought anything yet but I’ve been looking in the area for a multi fam. I’m ready to invest and would love to get any and all learning experiences in before I buy. If you guys would have me at the meeting of course.
