Thank you for the warm welcome @Christian Dunlap and @Robert Barnes I've been browsing Bigger Pockets since last night and I can't seem to stop now. Right now I'm listening to the useful podcast through youtube. I'm very happy that I stumbled on the ebook and this website before I took that training. Although my husband and I are on board with following through on this, admittedly we're very vulnerable to the analysis paralysis that the ebook talks about. Thank you also Christian for the local resource. I will definitely check it out!

My name is April and I'm from Virginia Beach, VA. It's an interesting story as to how I stumbled on to this site. Last Saturday my husband and I attended a free workshop on financial education. We didn't know what to expect, but it certainly got us interested in real estate investing. Did we get hooked on the hype? Shamefully, yes =\ But yesterday I began to do my own research and discovered the ebook from Bigger Pockets. As I read the book, it made my husband and I realize that we didn't need to pay for an expensive training in order to learn the ropes of real estate investing. Luckily, I'm still in my three day cancellation window so I've gone ahead and cancelled my training with them. Now we're delving into this new journey together, learning together, and ultimately succeeding together. Our main goal for going into real estate investing is financial freedom and simply, I want a new career. I'm really looking forward to learning, growing, and meeting people through Bigger Pockets.
