@Michael Bishop I like it- just showed some properties there not too long ago. There is a lot of development there along with great infrastructure and being such a close proximity to Austin. Rental demand in the area is high, appreciation rates are moderate, and affordability for investors is great. There's still inventory in the area currently available from $145K to $200K that appear to need minimal work and could be turnkey. I say it's a great place for buy and hold.

@Nathaniel Sticco I think there is still opportunity in San Antonio. Austin not so much but I'm currently recommending Buda, Cedar Park, and other outlying areas of Austin where appreciation and demand is still high. If you think about searching is this area, just give me a shout!

Good luck on your search!

@Kevin L. Yup, I also don't think the prices in Houston will be affected too much due to its diverse economy. Here in Austin, I am currently recommending areas like Buda, Cedar Park, and other suburbs for buy and holds to all of my investor clients. Appreciation rates are skyrocketing in Austin/surrounding areas and don't see them stopping any time soon.
