I highly recommend getting an accountant. Unfortunately as good as TurboTax and other online softwares are, they don't always pick up the most beneficial items with rentals. I see it all the time on previously filed returns that my clients bring in and then need to be amended. Especially with items needing to be prorated, it may be difficult for you. Happy to have a conversation further with you if you'd like.

@Jhamari Hogan locality taxes are a little tricky as each locality has their own rules. It also matters, depending on the locality, if you live and/or work there and what type of income you are earning. Short answer is I reccomend talking to an accountant that understands it.
