@Michael Kistner more great tips!! I love Overstock but have never used Build.com. Will definitely look into those more when the time comes for those supplies! Thank you!

@Michael Kistner thanks so much for that input! great points about breaking out the material and pricing it out myself. I do have a lowe's card already so that's great. Thanks so much!

@Dawn Brenengen thank you! yes absolutely I definitely value people's time and expertise and would never want to take advantage or seem to take advantage of that. I do hope to build very strong relationships to support my fix & flip business, so thank you so much for that feedback that it's the right thing to do!

As a new investor looking for my first fix & flip, I don't have a great idea of what it would cost for different types of rehab. Would you all recommend taking a General Contractor to a potential property and paying him for his time in exchange for him giving a good estimate of the scope of work? If so, does anyone in the Charlotte, NC area know a GC that would be good for this type of thing? Thanks so much!

@Scott Rubzin at this point we are looking for single family fix & flips, am open to different areas in the greater Charlotte market including Fort Mill, Rock Hill, Belmont, Huntersville. We do have a real estate agent to help us understand different areas comparables but really beyond that, nothing too specific at this point since we just started seriously looking. Beyond that, what specific criteria should we aim to nail down? Thank you!

@Scott Rubzin Thank you! Yes I have to agree it seems like getting started is the hardest part! I appreciate your offer and I will definitely reach out with questions. Do you do mostly rental properties?
