Thank you all for the suggestions. We are asking the lender to reconsider the appraisal. Our realtor is also preparing comps for similar houses in the area.

Hello,

My husband and I are in the process of starting our real estate journey. We applied for a HELOC on our primary residence and the appraisal value 100k$ lower than what we expected. Comparable houses around us sold for 200k$ more than our appraisal value. Any recommendations on what to do next?

Hello BP,

I’m a beginner to real estate. I have been running numbers on several investment properties and found it challenging to estimate repairs and cap ex.I’m curious how everyone calculates these. Really appreciate your insights as it would help me analyze deals correctly.

Thanks for your insights Jacob. The property I am looking at needs major rehab. Trying to understand if it's worth putting money in rehab. Any idea about the type of tenants in this area?

Hello,

I’m an out of state investor. I came across a cash flowing property in the zipcode -66102. Can anyone help me determine if this a good area to invest for rentals/flipping?
