Wish me luck. I think I'm going to give a shot. I've talked with several references throughout the country that have had good experiences and are still investing with Pinnacle. Can't find anything negative other than naysayers that have not provided anything but opinions. I'll keep you posted.

I spoke with a rep from Pinnacle Development Partners, LLC on 8-28-06. He is sending me a packet in the mail and suggested I review it with my attorney. He stated that if I was still interested, he would send me a list of references. Pretty much covered the same info that's on their web site, 25% return on investment in 60 days.

I went ahead and refinanced at 6.6 fixed for 30 yrs. I plan on keeping the house for atleast 10 years. My payment ended up being about the same as with the first and second together.
Thanks for the input everyone.

I put $10,000 a year in company 401K but plan to make more money in retirement than I do now. Seems to me I'll likely pay more money in taxes later than right now. I don't qualify for a Roth IRA at this time. I'm wondering if buying RE now, probably rentals, with after tax money would be a better strategy than deferring taxes.

Update:
Went to small claims and won. She was unprepaired and had a head hunter home inpector that made them both look like fools.

I live in Southern CA. My house is worth $650, 000. My mortgage is $310,000 on the 1st at 30 years fixed, 5.78% (Payment $2400). My 2nd mortgage (Heloc) is for $117,000 at .5% above prime (Payment $800 and growing). I plan to live in the home at least 10 years. Should I refinance to stop the heloc rate from climbing? The payment has increased over $200 in the last year. Is a 30 year fixed the best mortgage?
Thanks for any input.
