Congratulations on your success!! I enjoyed how you laid out many of the steps that you have taken to get to 5 doors. For me the one that stands out the most is mindset. I believe the mindset out of all the actions that you have taken has proven to be the most significant. Without the correct mindset you don't take action, develop relationships, put yourself out there etc. I will be looking forward to watching you continue to crush it!

Congratulations Charles, what an accomplishment! I have the dream of one day being able to get out of the rat race as well. However, I will say this year has been a productive one as I have now purchased my second property bringing my portfolio to a duplex and a SFR. No home runs! but definitely solid base hits that moved me from the analysis paralysis stage. My deals were also from the MLS through a broker. I am excited and looking forward to building my portfolio. Best of luck to you!

@Tara Jackson

Welcome to BP Tara. I am a fellow newbie here in KCMO and have some similarities to yourself. I am a RN and used to work at RMC and left early last year to BRMC. I thought David Greene's book on the BRRRR was a good read. The BRRRR strategy I would like to employ this tatic in the multifamily niche. I have been doing plenty of reading, audiobooks, podcast, and trying to be more active on BP. I hope to get my first deal soon as at some point you just have to do it. Good luck to you and see out there!!

@Pasquale Zingarella

Thanks for starting this thread. Starting my REI journey towards the end of 2019, I have been reading, listening to audio books, podcasts, and you tube videos. Joined BP as an actionable task. I have been evaluating my own personal finances and ensuring I maintain a good to excellent credit score. Currently working on decreasing my income to debt ratio.

By EOY I will own 2 multifamily units consisting of a combination of a duplex or quadplex. I currently reside in a SFH that I purchased in 2017, which I unfortunately don't have much equity in as of yet. My goal is to put processes in place to truly treat my investing as a business and not a hobby. My first goal is to work on generating leads and analyzing deals so that I can be more comfortable with putting in an offer when the time comes. This year will not be a year of analysis paralysis. I also work full time, but am determined to block out time in my schedule to work on my business. Wishing everyone a prosperous year as well!!

@Randy Coker

Congratulations. They say the first one is always the hardest. I hope to move from analysis paralysis to taking action soon.
