Thanks for all the replies. I've made a few bids on Flippa and will see how it goes. I was more interested in learning about investing in websites, such as mistakes to avoid etc.

Does anyone know of a forum for people who invest by purchasing and selling websites? I was hoping to find something kind of like BP where experienced website investors could be found.

Post: Why do so many investors choose to keep their day job?

I've noticed that a lot of investors keep their day jobs after they seem to be very successful. I've met people who have been flipping houses for over ten years and still have a day job. I'm too polite to ask them in person why they still have a day job. I don't mean this to sound negative or rude, but why do they do that? Are they not making enough to quit or is it some other reason.

I had a handyman do some work on my house and he said the shower needed to be caulked. He wanted $80. Of course I said no. He went ahead and did it and tried to charge me $80 for 5 minutes worth of work, but was not successful at it.

Post: Should I get a Master in Real Estate Development

The only reason to get a masters in Real Estate is if you want to get a job in the real estate industry. If you just want to work for yourself I don't think it will help you very much. I think you would be better off using that money to finance your real estate deals. You can lean the same things they teach on your own, a degree is just to prove to other people what you know. When you are investing in real estate for yourself, the people you deal with probably don't care what degrees you have.

I'm excited to hear Mitch speak. I read his book "My life and a 1,000 houses" about a year ago and really enjoyed it. It wasn't a how to book, just a book that told his story and was very interesting.
