Is your property under Town of Yucca Valley jurisdiction or San Bernardino County jurisdiction? If under SB county, they will come and do a physical inspection.

 It is under Yucca Valley

@Ashley Keeler thanks for the info! Did they come out and do an inspection? We are planning to tear down a wall that needs a permit to do so and we want to make sure we have all the proper permits if they inspect.

Just closed on a house in Yucca Valley a month ago. There are a few upgrades we plan on doing. Should I apply for the STVR now or wait until the upgrades are done and the house is ready to go?

Thank you Caroline! It looks like my property is located in a RS5 zone.

Yes, I have read about the permits needed and the costs. I was more concerned if there was any restrictions on Air Bnbs near schools or parks ? My property is around the block from Yucca Valley elementary school and I dont see any comparable STR's in the same block.

Anyone else have any insight on if there is any restricted zones beyond the standard yucca valley STR permit ?

Hey everyone,

Glad to finally be a part of the BP community!

I have recently been interested in renting out our property in yucca valley on AIRbnb as a STR. Our property is on Elk trail between Pueblo trail and Onaga trail, around the block from Yucca Valley elementary school. I have been looking at the Airbnb map and there doesn't seem to be any STR's on the market within close proximity of the school. This could be a complete coincidence but does anyone have any info on whether there's any specific zones in Yucca Valley that dont allow STR's ?  I have done my research but cannot find anything that outlines this besides all STR's require an approved permit by the town.

Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
