ok I see then. I did not know that I thought it was auction style. I'll have to rethink my strategy. I think it's near the reserve now so I could be very close to winning it and also very close to losing it

If it was a legit bidder wouldn't it just go up incrementally as others bid against it. This went up 25000 with one bid

We are trying to win a hubzu house. This morning the starting bid was around 135000 with absolutely no bids. This afternoon there is a bid around 160000. But if you click on bid history it only shows one bid. How is that possible? If only one person bid wouldn't it be like 136000. Is this an attempt by hubzu to make it look like many people are bidding it up.? Or do they just show high bid? we have been watching the price both end auction now price and starting price fall for months and it is just now getting where we need it to be in our budget. And now all of the sudden there seems to be lots of goofy things happening. We were hoping to win this house in the next couple of weeks. But now strange things are happening. Any ideas?

hi can somebody tell me exactly what proof of funds is? we are trying to win a hubzu House.the realtor wants to upload proof of funds to them when we bid.we hope to pay 175000 for it. we have the funds (213,000) in our savings account at chase. do i just go to the bank and ask them for some kind of proof of funds letter. or do i sign in online and take a screen shot of my account balance page? any help is appreciated thanks

I'm looking into the heloc. What should I tell them I'm going to do with the money. I've read that they won't give it to you if you are planning on selling the house?

My wife and want to buy a hubzu house for about 175000 all in  we have about 120000 cash . Our own house is paid for and is valued at 185000. We want to buy the hubzu house and move into it then sell our house. The hubzu house is in a different state . What is the best way to come up with the money for the difference in price before selling our house. I am unsure if we could get a mortgage on the hubzu house because of no existing private road maintenance agreement.any ideas on how to make this happen. We have been watching this house for several months and the price is just about where we need it to be. We have had it inspected and done our due diligence on the house. Just trying to figure out the money part. Any advice is appreciated

@blake

@Blake Messina thanks for the info as I understand it we are allowed inspection although  there are no contingencies.and we have one scheduled for next week. I understand if we win they will convey with a special warranty deed. Can somebody educate me on that? What can we do to protect ourselves from issues resulting from that.

@nick l thanks for the reply we have been in the house and it is in near perfect condition on the inside. We will use our own title company if we win. We are also havering the house inspected on Monday . So hopefully that will confirm the condition. We actually drove 500 miles to look at it about three months ago. It has been reauctioned many times with no bidders until now. We have just been watching it get lower and lower starting bid. But now somebody has bid so we feel we need to also
