Matt Boyle - thank you for sharing buddy. I'm curious to know In which towns in the NW suburbs they've had success. It's not in DuPage but an agent I spoke with said that Des Plaines is supposed to be a good area to own rental properties.

@John Mathewson thank you for reaching out! I sent an email to your email address listed on BP!

@Bob Green - we are looking for outdated properties in need of upgrading, but ones which could still be eligible for traditional financing.

Marqueen Robinson I live in the NW suburbs so around there would be great but I'm also open to hearing about any of the suburbs in which you've had success for rental properties.

Hello BP!

I was hoping to start a discussion about the Chicago suburbs in which other investors have had the most success. I'm evaluating properties to purchase and rent out. Some guidance as to which areas to focus on would be of huge help.

Thanks in advance!

I'm looking to buy a rental property in the NW Chicago suburbs. Does anyone have any recommendations for good mortgage brokers or investor friendly banks in the Chicagoland area? Thanks in advance!

Hi BP, I'm currently looking to buy and hold a SFR in the Chicago suburbs. I'm wondering if anyone would be willing to speak to the market cap rate in this area. Thank you in advance!

Dumitru Anton Thank you for your input. I'm not necessarily looking only in Itasca; it is just home base for me. Are these areas you mentioned the ones in which you have had success?

Hello BP Community! I was told recently that looking to buy rentals in the Chicago-land area in the fall and winter as it becomes colder is a bad idea because there are less people looking for new places to live during these seasons. I wanted to see if any Chicago-land investors and agents would share their experience with renting out or selling properties during these times of year. Thank you!
