Usually it differs from state to state but during the recent years more and more landlords are charging rent via credit card. There are numerous rental platforms which allow to do this without going through any banking nonsense.

November is definitely not the best moth to look for new renters. However, to search them in winter could be even worth. Very few people look for property in December-February. Thus, your vacancy could be stay on market quite a while. Note, that cause of lack of demand, rental prices is usually lower in winter that in summer. So may win nothing.

I agree with Bill, that the best demand for rentals typically in late-spring or summer. The rental market is at its peak and you can be sure that your property will likely show the best that time of year.

In order to find a good property management company, first of all you need to know how long it operates on market. If the company has been in the business for some time, it's probably a good sign.

Second. You should ask how many properties the firm manages. I would rather recommend you to look for bigger companies since they probably have greater experience and more resources.

Aslo, you need to ask for references. If the company is good in the business, it would be happy to provide customer references.

Do not forget to ask what services are included and how often property manager will communicate with you. If company is well organized, it has a regular schedule of communication, monthly reports, for instance.

I hope this will help. Good luck in your search, Douglas!

First of all, congratulations on your new tenants, Vy Mai. You mentioned that you had rented your property through Airbnb earlier. And I was wondering how you managed to find your current renters. Did you rent out your property via Internet as well?
