@Alberto Nikodimov I love the idea of house hacking and living for free or very cheap at the least! Sent you a DM and would love to connect!

Hey everyone, my name is Brandon Levesque and I’ve been sober for 3 days now and… oh, wait, wrong forum…

Haha, in all seriousness I’ve been listening to a bunch of BP podcasts for a bit, reading books, and consuming as much information as possible and am looking to make the dive into real estate investing. My goal with real estate investing is to gain (mostly) passive income so I can enjoy time with friends and family and pursue personal hobbies/passions. To do this I’m looking at eventually investing in commercial multifamily properties, and apartments more specifically. I currently live in NH and am doing handyman/property maintenance work to get more hands-on experience with repairs/rehab to hopefully do some of the smaller repairs and rehab in the beginning to save some money. The next steps I am focused on are 1. Switching jobs to some form commercial real estate analysis to gain experience, network, and have W-2 income and 2. moving to Tampa, FL to start investing and scale up using “the stack”. The plan is to start with house hacking a duplex then moving up to a 4-plex, 6-8 unit, etc. I would love if anyone has advice/tips/people to talk to, regarding this approach and/or investing in commercial multifamily.
