Hi  @Stacy E.thank you for responding to my post! How long were you required to reside in your multifamily before you moved out? How do you recommend dealing with PMI's? I truly appreciate your response.

Thanks, @Account Closed, there truly is value in starting off slowly with the training wheels. I actually just finished listening to that podcast on BP yesterday. I also noticed your in Michigan, an area I want to look into within the next 4 years. We should stay connected!

Hi @Steve Bracero , thanks for the response! When would be the optimal time to refinance out of the loan? I am currently located in Queens, NY and work in Manhattan. I have been looking in the Astoria, Long Island City, and Eastern jersey areas. My goal is move closer to the city. To analyze my deals, I've been using apps such as Trulia & Redfin primarily. Do you have any recommendations in regards to analyzing deals?

Thanks for the green light @CharlesOglesby. I am actually thinking of coming out to the west coast within the near future as well! What's the market like right now in your area?

Hello everyone,

I recently graduated from college and immediately started working my full-time job at a big 4 accounting firm in NYC. Real estate has always been a passion of mine and so I've started saving up for my first property. I plan to use the 3.5% down FHA loan strategy to purchase ideally a 3 or 4 family. The question I pose is: Is this a good strategy for my first investment property, what are the pros and cons in doing so, and how long would I typically be required to live in the residence before being allowed to rent my prior space? If anyone has personal experience using this method, please reach out, I would love to talk more!
