Hello everyone. I'm from Colorado, own a home in Valdosta, GA but in the military so I move around a lot. Interested in learning how to invest into real estate as a way to earn additional income and potentially as primary income when I get out of the military. Very interested in networking and learning from the pros and hope to start on this venture soon. Brandon

Post: Advice on whether to sell or hold

Hello all, I'm new to BP and new to the real estate world.

I purchased my first property about 7 years ago and it's current estimated value is about $7k less than what I purchased it for.

For the last 2 years, I've been renting the property out for just enough to cover the mortgage.  I am in the military and soon moving back to the same area and plan on moving in for 2 years.

My concern is that the property is just tying up my money and perhaps not worth holding onto.  Should I look to sell it or hold onto with hopes that the value will increase or use it as a rental property down the road?

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Brandon

Post: Should I sell my house?

I own a home in a city that isn't exactly a booming metropolis and is currently being rented. I will soon be moving back to the same area and will move into the house for 2 years. Should I look to sell the house after the two years is up or continue to rent after we leave? Was thinking it may be best to free ourselves of the property in order to purchase a better investment property elsewhere?
