@Christian Harris I've been working on my RE license for about 3 months now (I had to work full time, the holidays came, etc) I would recommend doing the in class license course if you can take the time away from work. 

@Myles McDevitt @Ben Richards @Julie Kern we should all plan to meet up sometime and do lunch. I live in the downtown Woodstock area but am willing to travel wherever you guys would like.

First of all welcome to the BP forums! I just joined earlier this week and have been thoroughly impressed with the amount of helpful, knowledgeable people on here! I, too, live in Woodstock and am currently finishing up my RE license. Have you had your license for 3 years already in order to become a broker?

As a fellow recent grad interested in REI, I'd love to catch up with you sometime and network!

Thank you guys for your welcoming! @Julie Kern I am primarily interested in buy and hold. I would say that will be 80% of my investments with 20% being in flipping/wholesaling. I still have a lot to learn so I would say I'll do a wholesale before I do a flip because of the risk involved. 

@Rashad Nelson that's awesome! I've heard protection while under renovation can be a real life saver. Do you mind messaging me the name of the guard service and the name of the wholesaler that you avoided here in Atlanta?

Hey everyone,

I'm very new to this forum but have been listening to the Podcasts for about 5 months now. After listening to Joshua and Brandon and reading multiple of their books, I decided it was time to plug myself in to the BP community! I am getting my real estate license THIS MONTH and cannot wait to dive in to the RE community as well. I am originally from Chattanooga, TN but currently live in Woodstock, GA. I hope to explore the Cobb, Cherokee, and Bartow county markets. I really became interested in Real Estate investment a couple of months ago when I started learning about passive cash flow from Rich Dad Poor Dad as I'm sure many of you have read. The idea of investing in something tangible and profitable consumed my interests. Ever since I have learned more and more about the real estate market, it has become a passion of mine. I graduated with a degree in Mass Media and hope to utilize my media skills within the Real Estate world. But enough about me! I look forward to networking with investors, agents, and everyone else involved in the BP community. I am young and new to the massive world of real estate but would love to have coffee/lunch with anyone looking to network!
