Post: How to BRRRR with a partner?

I am looking for a strategy to combine money with a partner and both benefit from the process. However, we don't have enough capitol to invest by ourselves in the location that we want. So we have decided that we would like to combine our money and finance a deal together. What is a good strategy where both partners receive maximum benefit in the BRRRR method? I have considered having one person benefit by owning and renting the home and the other benefit by getting a return through the refinance, but still unsure how that would play out. Let me know your thoughts!

Thanks in advance!

I am looking for a strategy to use a private money lender but I will cover half of the cost. I have someone I'd like to work with and we both have HELOC's in our current homes. However, we don't have enough capitol to invest by ourselves in the location that we want. So we have decided that we would like to combine our money and finance a deal together. What is a good strategy where both partners receive maximum benefit? We will be using the BRRRR method.

Thanks in advance!

@Cody Harris are you using a conventional loan for the home initially?

I have about 10k in my cash reserves and about 50k tied up in other investments, paying cash isn't really an option so I was narrowing in on the idea of a HELOC. Just wondering if using it as a down payment on a mortgage is a good idea.

I currently have roughly 80,000 dollars of equity in my current residence. I have been looking into utilizing a HELOC to make a down payment on a house that I plan to flip and rent out. Does this work or is buying the house in full the best way to go about this strategy?
