@Rohan Thakker I would agree with the single multifamily path, and avoiding condos. I had a friend who successfully ran a STR in Cambridge, it was a duplex.

@Steve Y. I know PMs for larger properties 6+ units. Such as CP Management, Elm Grove, Gray property group. A residential agent that works with MF investors may be of more assistance.

I believe Vacasa has a presence in the lakes region. Just be careful STR are allowed in your town, many towns are fighting them ie. Conway or banned them ie. Portsmouth.

As a broker/Investor anyone know any good tax accountants? I have been doing it myself for years and don't really trust H&R Block type spots. Prefer greater Nashua but will travel for someone that's good.

@Andrew Stuckey I do some land development. It depends on what type of trees you have and their ages, but yes generally I would recommend having a forester take some trees, get some money coming in. Then think about sand and gravel companies may have interest in the ledge and sand on the property. They can deliver the property to you cleared as they want the raw material. Site work (getting utilities, connecting to town sewer if available, making roads) is expensive but I do believe Henniker has Town Sewer.

@Zander Kempf the Masiello group is always hiring. We have both a residential and commercial brokerage.
BH&G the Masiello Group (residential)
SVN the Masiello Group (commercial)
We have a lot of offices throughout VT, NH and ME. Happy to connect you with the respective managing broker for what you’re thinking.
In general see what expenses you incur by hanging your license with a brokerage. Do you have desk fees, mandatory office days etc. at SVN it's free besides your dues and MLS fees. KW I hear has good training. Also ask about splits if you do a deal how much will they take. What tools will they provide you.
