Hey all! What would be your biggest piece of advice for those just starting out in REI?

Would you guys recommend working for free with someone who has a lot of knowledge in real estate investing on the side to gain more experience? 

Hey all! I am new to real estate investing and I am wondering what everyone did when they first started out - resources, books, podcasts, events, etc. I am finishing up the book Rich Dad Poor Dad and it has changed my whole view on finances and has sparked my interest in real estate investing. My end goal is financial freedom. I know how much work this is going to take and want to take the right steps towards achieving this. Any advice is much appreciated! Thanks!
