Do you have a website?  I am looking for tri-plexes up to 5 or 6 unit properties.

@Ron Walraven  thank you very much for the advice.  i plan to start by house hacking also.  Do you have a mailing list where you could send me notifications for 3, 4 and 5 unit dwellings around Garden City, Westland, Canton, Southfield, Farmington, Farmington Hills, Livonia and Plymouth?

Hello All,

I am looking to start getting my contacts in line before investing.  Most of my investing will take place in Oakland and Wayne counties in Michigan. With that being said, does anybody have some contacts for all of the roles listed below:

1. Lawyer

2. Landscaping (To cut grass and rake leaves, etc.  This is not for rehab)

3. Handyman

4. Carpenter

5. Property Management Recommendations

6. Electrician

7. Plumber

8. General Contractor

Also, say for example, that I was managing my own properties and I wanted to go out of town.  Are there any property management companies that will manage for short periods of time?  Like a week long?

I am in an apartment right now.  My Fiance and I will look for a starter home after our wedding. I will PM you because I am not far from the areas that you work.

My schedule is primarily open on Nights and weekends, unfortunately. However, I have registered for some of the courses at Home Depot and I have been looking at YouTube videos.  There is no better way to learn than actually getting your hands dirty.   I do have weekdays off periodically.

Hello,

I am looking to partner up with a general contractor to give them a helping hand.  i want to learn a few tricks of the home renovation process before i go and purchase my first investment property. if any one has a contact, please send me their way. I would prefer someone who does a lot of work in the Farmington/Farmington Hills, Northville and West Bloomfield area.  However, I can do stuff anywhere around the Detroit area. My plan would be to help out once or twice a month on weekends, primarily.

Hello,

As a newbie in this area, I am just curious about where people get their materials for a flip or renovation. For example, if you are going to renovate a kitchen( I am talking a complete gut job), where do you get your countertops, fixtures, cabinets etc.?  This stuff can get pretty expensive!!
