Hey, I got a guy that does excellent work and is well priced! Although depending on where the property is he may not travel that far.

Thanks everyone! I'm attending a couple of Meetup events in the coming weeks, that should help me meet some new faces and do abit of networking.
I'm very interested in connecting with local wholesalers, I feel like currently the rehabbing aspect is my strongest ability/talent with all this. I want to really learn all the rest, but getting that first place flipped will be a priceless education in all the rest.
Turning this into a full time job is very appealing, although I can't really see it being possible anytime soon. I'm completely burnt out with my current job, and I really want to make something happen, with the oil field in its current state there's really no better time for me!

I'm new to the forum, although I've been reading it on and off over the past yr. I live in the Houston area and I am looking to get involved with real estate. I'm going to continue to read and read to get as much info as I can from here on out.
I have owned a rental in the past and a couple of properties, but never with any clear intentions of turning it into a money making venture. I've always had an interest in real estate, and I'm sick of my current job it's going no where fast, it's really time for a change.
Every house I've owned I've always done a full rehab on, I feel extremely confident in my abilities in that area. So like a lot of people I'm looking for properties to "flip", if I could make 20/30k a few times a yr I would be happy with that.
The biggest problem I face is finding the properties, any ideas on how to move forward in the Houston area?
