@Kris H. Oh no no I agree! I was just letting Nathan know that in 2011 the condo wasn’t worth less than 100k as he had mentioned, while yes the price Liam paid was probably too much at the time, I don’t think at that time it would have been nearly as obvious that it was too much for the property.

@Nathan G. Our economy has gone down severely over the past few years due to the pipeline not being built and many other factors. Housing prices are the lowest they’ve been in years.

@Amy Colin thank you so much! We didn’t end up purchasing the unit, but we will look into the areas you mentioned above. Appreciate it :)

@Kris H. Yeah fair enough. There’s a turn key property we were interested in but not familiar enough with the area. It’s north of 118 but wasn’t sure if the entire area was bad or just restricted to one pocket.

I drove through and it looked nice enough. However you can’t judge a book by its cover at 3 pm in the afternoon 😂

Thanks for the insight!

We have also been looking into Central McDougall area as from what we know it will be improving. Any opinions on that? Looking for all the insight we can get haha

Looking to get some insight on the area. With it being so close to 118 ave we know there would be some drug related trouble in the area, however, would like to speak with someone who has experience investing in this area and see what their thoughts are?

Hi All! Edmonton here, originally from Ontario. Glad to see a Canadian thread! Relatively new to BP, just joined the 90 day journal mastermind & going to check meetup.com for any local meet ups! Planning to buy two rental properties in 2019! Thank you everyone for the information you’ve posted!
