Hey Everyone - I saw this on BI this morning. Has this been your experience with contractors?

Great responses everyone! What I am realizing that there seems to be no other way to narrow down and identify a solid team of professionals to support your investing besides words of mouth and referrals. Am I wrong? Am I missing something?

Is that best method or only method?

Agree with Levi that the multi's don't seem as common in Orlando but if your're willing buy outside Orlando you may find some good ones. I'm in contract on a duplex near Deland for $72,500 it's fully rented for $1100/month. No HOA.

Yea, I have seen some better deals just outside orlando. Have you placed you vaca rental on sites like Airbnb and home away? Did that increase occupation? How far out are you willing to go from you base of ops? I am trying to asses all these things and would love you input. As I understand it, Orange county is one of the fastest growing markets as people re locate to florida.

Wow - Thanks for all the engagement everyone! I was away on business which is why it took so long to get back. I will definitely do some research on the short term rental market! Thank you!

Hey Everyone,

I am looking forward to jumping into real estate in Orlando, FL! I am listening to the podcast and building my plan. I am taking a look at student rentals near UCF and any multi family available. I would love to hear how people are building their portfolio in the orlando area to see what has worked and what hasn't!
