Where would i inquire about a solo 401k, any suggestions on best custodians and as far as the IRA do u recommend setup LLC through the

IRA or I manage it directly through the custodian without the LLC.

@Jesse Daconta thats really good to know, thanks! On the setup, Is there anything I should know or look out for right off the top, did you setup as an LLC or not and do you have check writing or is that even necessary? Thanks!

Hello, not sure if I'm posting in the right group but

I'm looking at buying a home to rent. I plan to have the home occupied by a home health aid service who takes care of people 24hrs day and need a home to rent for 1+3 yrs. My problem is down payment to purchase. I was planning to transfer my 401k over to self direct ira and use that money for realestate. Does any one have any experience with this idea or know of a better options, etc...?
