@Edward Sherman haha, it sounds like it. As long as you stay above a 180 you'll make progress, right?

@Edward Sherman Oh noooo, that pains me that you had to give up the bonneville. Such a gorgeous bike. Hopefully two things happen - 1) Not having another bike forces you to get the 360 up and running and 2) You make awesome cash flow to get the bonneville back in the stable! Don't be like me and let your project bike sit untouched for 2 years - hopefully I remember how to put it back together :P

@Edward Sherman - I'm pretty sure RDPD is a rite of passage. I nearly pulled the trigger on the CashFlow game, but have cured that itch by playing it online! http://www.richdad.com/apps-games/cashflow-classic
I only got through 5 or 6 of the podcasts (starting chronologically) before switching to Brandon's audiobook - do you have some favorites that are must-listens?

Hey Edward, welcome! I'm not too far from you (Bowling Green, KY) and am also a newbie investor, just made my first couple of offers this past week!
Obviously I'm not a sage bastion of wisdom, but here are a couple of books I started with after diving into BiggerPockets, much like you:
1. Rich Dad, Poor Dad - nearly every RE investor will have read this one. It's thin on "applicable" knowledge, but man is it a good "cheerleading" book. It also gets you in the right mindset for growing wealth.
2. The Book on Rental Property Investing - This one is published by BiggerPockets and authored by BP's very own Brandon Turner. This book was AWESOME as a resource on how to evaluate potential deals. I used tons of his tips in evaluating the two deals I made offers on, and man was I glad for that knowledge.
As far as the Real Estate License, Brandon touches on that subject in his book. Basically, it's valuable for some, and not so much for others, particularly because it's an expensive license to upkeep. I just lucked into finding an awesome realtor here in town that does his own investments and has become a great mentor, so hopefully you can find someone similar on your own path.
Best of luck!
