Post: Ended My Listing Early, How To Stop Solicited Calls?

There are many services that provide real estate agents with data and autodialers specifically for expired listings.  This data is mined from hundreds of sources where your name, address and phone number might be, ie; utility bill, email accounts, google searches and on and on. Real estate agents spend a lot of money for the data and the phone dialers.

The agents or their ISA's (inside sales agents- usually not licensed) get this data early and begin dialing almost always at 8:00 AM. They have certain exemptions from the DNC lists (depending on State) because they are not actually soliciting you to buy something. They are considered appointment setters and the laws are more lax around them. No less irritating though.

The key is to find the major aggregator's of this data in your area and contact them by email to have your number removed. Try TheRedx, Landvoice and Vulcan7 for starts.

You know the old adage, "The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing." Well with most large mortgage lenders, they don't even know they have a left hand. Too big.

Try the Clerk of the County Court and search for all documents on that property. Foreclosure notices will all be there, deeds, liens, etc.  Should have current owner information on most current docs filed.

I used to spend a lot of time tracking down ownership for abandoned properties and almost all were bank owned and impossible to have a dialog with. many will sit for years until they finally remember they own it, then list it or sell it in bulk with hundreds of others and you will  find it own an auction site.

Good luck though.

Quick update. We rented a Bosch heavy duty hammer drill with tile and mortar blades. Demo'd the two baths in 4 hours. A lot of work but it went smoothly.

We will take out the entire slabs.

We are about to renovate a 1964 house in Florida.

When we began chipping off the old 4x4 tile on the bathroom walls we found a slab behind each wall about an inch thick of concrete to which the tiles are adhered to directly.

Is there an easy way to remove the tiles or should be just demo the entire slab, tile and all and just replace with 1/4" concrete board on the remodel?

Thanks
